Jugari Cross

A brilliant play, based on a book written by Poornachandra Tejasvi (Kuvempu's son) is being enacted at the Rangashakara in Bangalore. After 'Art' by Yasmina Reza, this has the be the funniest play I have watched at the Rangashakara. Just brilliant. Catch it if you can.

The play is set in coastal Karanataka and the ambience of the region and the characteristic nature of the people are excellently reproduced. Brilliant stuff . .... and very funny indeed.

Apparently the play is based on a famous book by the same name which is soon being made into a movie. Should be worth the while.
