I sit with a friend, eating a snack, while he goes on about Google's latest browser, yadda yadda. I understand all he says and add to the conversation my own nuggets ... why they do what they do... and other such wisdom. I have a Bachelor's Engineering degree in Computers, and a Masters in Business ... they were both intellectually stimulating, but I frankly couldn't care less about either.
The truth is, I just dont care about all this stuff that makes sense to my head, and is still irrelevant to my soul.
I searched for the calling ... and did not find it. I still am searching perhaps ... but its possible there is no calling for me. I'm a deaf guy looking for a song, or a song looking for a deaf guy :)

If you are searching for calling, Even a deaf can feel it rather than hearing it. Hear it with your soul and not with your ears... Buddy.. Its what you make of life rather than what life makes for you.
thanks .... what is your calling and how did you hear/feel/see it? I'm interested to hear from others about whether they know what their dreams are and if they are living it.
Maybe I should clarify and say that I'd like to hear people's aspirations .... not their "dreams"
Just to clarify - the calling you are referring to - are we talking about the material plane ? as in your place in the world or the calling for your very existence ? ...
You can't really search for a calling, can you? It just *is*. All you can do is realize it - and for that you usually need discipline & dedication, and often, some degree of sacrifice of habits/people/lifestyle you hold dear. If your calling is something you already have a talent for, makes it just that bit easier.
That's what I think, at least. :-)

either it grabs you or you grab it ... and one is never really sure if one is ever active or passive in such matters .... do you even realize it? Or does it realize within you :) ..... ok enough ..:)

- My calling is in being authentic. I love details and finding solutions.

- I know. I have personal dreams and i know what they are and i have decided that i am going to achieve them. God help me!
In my profession my dreams are about being authentic. I know my mind and attitude will carry me far! And i don’t mean materialistically only!
and if they are living it.
- I am living it. I give more energy to what makes me happy and thankfully it is coming together pretty well for me!!
